EECC Austin SMS

Program Description

The EECC Austin SMS program is used for the following purposes:

• One-Time Passcodes (OTP): We send verification codes to your phone number to help you log in securely and verify your account. These are sent only when you request them.
• Optional Informational Messages: If you enable notifications in the EECC Austin mobile app, you may receive service reminders such as upcoming worship services, events, or ministry updates. These messages are optional and can be disabled at any time in your app settings.
• No Marketing: We do not send marketing or promotional messages. All messages are transactional or informational in nature and relate to your use of EECC Austin services.

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies. You will receive messages only when:

• You request a verification code to log in or verify your account
• You have enabled optional notifications in the app and there is relevant information to share (such as service reminders or event updates)

Most users receive only a few messages per month. You control whether you receive optional notifications through your app settings.

Message and Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply. Standard text messaging rates from your mobile carrier will apply to all messages sent and received. Please check with your mobile carrier for details about your messaging plan.

How to Opt Out

You can opt out of receiving SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message from EECC Austin. Once you send STOP, you will receive a confirmation message and will no longer receive SMS messages from us.

Please note that opting out will prevent you from receiving verification codes, which means you will not be able to log in to the EECC Austin mobile app using your phone number. You can opt back in at any time by entering your phone number in the app again.

Privacy and Data Handling

• Use: We use your phone number only for authentication (sending verification codes) and for sending optional church notifications if you have enabled them in your app settings.

• No Third-Party Marketing: We do not share your phone number with third parties for marketing purposes.
• Service Providers: We use Twilio, a trusted SMS service provider, to send text messages. Twilio is contractually obligated to protect your data and use it only to deliver messages on our behalf.

Consent and Compliance

By providing your phone number and requesting a verification code or enabling notifications in the EECC Austin mobile app, you consent to receive SMS messages from EECC Austin as described in these terms.
